Body found burning near Morgan Hill identified as 35-year-old San Jose woman

Santa Clara County sheriff’s deputies have identified the body found burning near Morgan Hill last week as that of Julie Teresa Calocci.

Calocci, 35, was a resident of San Jose, deputies said Friday.

Drivers reported seeing a body on fire near Oak Glen Avenue during the morning commute on Thursday, Aug. 28. The fire was extinguished when deputies arrived.

An autopsy was scheduled for last week but the Sheriff’s Office has not released the cause of death. They are pursuing the case as a homicide.

The Sheriff’s Office said it would not be releasing further details on the case Friday.
