Soquel Creek Water District holds off on Conservation Plus plan

The Soquel Creek Water District is not moving forward with its Conservation Plus plan at least not yet.

Board members made the decision at Tuesday night’s public meeting. They will now go back to review program goals and get more public input. The plan aims to solve the district’s long term water shortage.

As it stands now the plan would have affected all customers and given residents a specific amount of water they could use every day. It also would have required businesses to follow a set of indoor and outdoor water conservation measures.
