Santa Cruz woman appointed to state podiatric medicine board

Gov. Jerry Brown on Wednesday announced that he’s appointed a Santa Cruz resident to the California Board of Podiatric Medicine.

Judith Manzi, 61, has been senior physician at Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara Medical Center since 2001, where she was a staff physician from 1998 to 2001. She was a podiatrist in private practice at the Sunnyvale Foot and Ankle Center from 1984 to 1998 and chairman of the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine Department of Surgery from 1982 to 1984.

Manzi earned her doctor of podiatric medicine degree from Temple University. This position does not require Senate confirmation and the compensation is $100 per diem.
