Daytime roadwork planned for Wednesday-Friday in Big Sur, Carmel

A three-day project to replace the striping and marking along Highway 1 from Big Sur to Carmel continues with daytime work from Malpaso Creek Bridge to Point Lobos in Carmel Highlands on Wednesday, Sept. 3.

Caltrans officials said the roadwork will consist of reversing one-way traffic control from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday and from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday. Motorists can expect a delay not to exceed 10 minutes. This project is expected to be complete on Friday, Sept. 5.
