3-year-old Salinas boy struck by SUV

3 in soledad– police are searching for the people accused of shooting a man near an elementary school… and officers in prunedale have just wrapped up their investigation into the accident involving a 4-year- old. let’s first go live to news channel 5’s marissa schwartz.. she’s in prunedale with more.. 3 3 3 3 chp cleared the scene a little bit ago here on el camino real, right alongside highway 101…it a very busy spot, you can hear all the traffic behind me… 3 officers say the 4 year old was standing on the side of the road woth his dad, when he ran out in front of an suv earlier this afternoon.the driver stopped and although he wouldn’t say much about the crash, he believes the boy ran into the side of the car. people who live and work along this road say its a dangerous area. 3 “they’ll just haul through here and not even look. you know i walk through here all the time, i live right behind here and the stores, our regular children that live up the street and people just aren’t cautious and they don’t care.”a family member tells me the little boy is on san jose and is being checked out at the hospital as a precaution. 3 the driver was not arrested and wasn’t charged with anything in this case.live in prunedale, ms nc5 3 3 now
