Monterey County man convicted for burglarizing same home twice

A Seaside man was found guilty of burglarizing a home where his family members live twice. Leonardo Casas, 23, faces up to nine years and four months in prison.

According to the Monterey County District Attorney’s Office, Casas broke into the home and rifled through the laundry in January. Investigators said he was looking for women’s underwear.

Two months later, the family woke up to Casas leaving the garage with clothing in his hands.
