Monterey County Jail deputy attack details

New information has developed on a deputy attack inside the Monterey County Jail and two more inmates face charges.

Edward Ramirez, 20, and Mark Raso, 27, were charged this week.

Ramirez is currently in jail on armed robbery charges. Raso faces aggravated assault and attempted murder charges.

Inmates charged last week include Alberto Cortez, 22, Marcos Zamora, 23, Armando Canchola, 25, and Francisco Miranda, 23.

Cortez is in jail on charges for fatally shooting a man and Zamora allegedly stabbed another inmate.

Canchola faces two gang related murder charges and Miranda is charged with a DUI that killed two women.

The May attack resulted in multiple hospitalizations.
