Warriors youth basketball camp kicks off in Santa Cruz

Monday marked the first day of the Golden State Warriors Basketball Camp’s Santa Cruz session.

Eighty children, ages 7-15, are participating in the week-long camp at the Kaiser Permanente Arena in downtown Santa Cruz.

Santa Cruz Warriors player Joe Alexander stopped by Monday to talk with the campers about the physical and mental components of the game. He also gave out autographed prints and took a photo with every camper.

These camps are being held throughout the greater Bay Area. It returns to Santa Cruz the week of July 28. More information is available online or by calling 713-4400.
