Four shootings in as many days in Salinas

Police say 18-year-old Daniel Castillo was shot in area of Kilbreth Avenue and N. Sanborn Road this morning. He was taken Natividad Hospital where he later died.

The call came in just after 11.

Thursday and Friday saw two shootings on Acosta Plaza. Early Sunday morning, a body was found near Russell and Harrison just north outside the city limits.

Police couldn’t say if the latest shooting was gang-related.

There is no suspect information at this time.
