Ohio teen calls in false bomb threat to San Lorenzo Valley High

A 14-year-old boy in Ohio called in a bomb threat to San Lorenzo Valley High School Wednesday, Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s deputies said.

School officials told deputies that an unknown suspect left a voicemail at the school Wednesday afternoon stating that a bomb would blow up the campus on Friday.

Deputies investigated and determined the call was made by a teenager in Cincinatti, who admitted Thursday that he’d called in the false bomb threat. He also admitted to making several other prank calls to local businesses in the Santa Cruz area. Deputies say the teen has no local ties and the threat was completely random.
