Hollister Offers Free Sandbags
It seems the City of Hollister was thinking ahead.
As a large winter storm moves through the Central Coast, city leaders stockpiled sandbags at two locations.
On weekdays, you can pick them up at the Service Center, 1321 South Street, from 7:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
The system is self-serve and the bags are free.
If you need them during the weekend, head to Fire Station #2, 1000 Union Road. There is a limited supply that, again, is free and on a self-serve bases.
