Violent Weekend in Salinas after Two Shootings
Salinas police are investigating two separate shootings that happened over the weekend within a 24-hour period.
The first shooting happened on Saturday around 9 p.m. A victim was shot several times in the legs while walking alone on Freedom Parkway and Towt Street.
Police say a blue four-door car pulled up and two people shot the man. The victim is expected to survive, but the shooters remain at large right now.
24 hours later, Salinas Police said a shooting occurred in the 1100 block of North Sanborn on Sunday night.
Police say two 16-year-old boys and an 18-year-old were shot several times. All three are in serious but stable condition.
