Watsonville City Council Makes Moves for Public Safety Tax on Ballot

Several decisions came down for the Watsonville City Council this week, including an initiative to get a half cent tax increase for public safety on the June ballot.

Although the initiative hasn’t officially been approved, the council did decide to do more research on it before putting it on the ballot.

The city council also had a unanimous vote to put a measure on the ballot that would change the way public places are named. This measure would give people a way to voice their opinions on the names of public places.
