Watsonville Crews Put Out Fire at Ramsay Park

Crews were able to put out a quarter-acre fire at Ramsay Park Tuesday. However, this fire is part of a larger trend that could cause a lot of damage, said firefighters.

Tuesday’s fire was quickly put out and no damage to any buildings was reported.

However, it was the 6th brush fire that the Watsonville Fire Department has had to put out since the beginning of the year. This is a trend that fire departments all over the Central Coast are reporting.

With 2013 being the driest year on record and sn significant railfall in over 40 days, 2014 is on track to be another dry year.
