Police: Suspect Used Craigslist to Steal Medical Marijuana

Police were able to arrest a man a week after he was accused of robbing a man he met on Craigslist in the parking lot of Dominican Hospital in Santa Cruz.

Police said that Vincent Turner arranged to meet the victim at the hospital so he could buy medical marijuana. Instead of making a purchase, police said Turner robbed the victim at gunpoint.

Turner was arrested in Salinas Wednesday.

Police were able to link Turner to similar armed robberies in Elk Grove, California. This is the first case in Santa Cruz County that police are aware of. If you have information regarding similar robberies resulting from Craigslist or other online site transactions, please call (831) 471-1121.
