Woman Stabbed Near Downtown Monterey Wednesday Night

Monterey police are investigating a stabbing that occurred in the parking lot of Chipotle and Trader Joe’s off Munras Avenue Wednesday night.

Officers say the victim is a woman, but are not releasing the extent of her injuries. The woman was sent to a hospital. The parking lot was taped off as officers investigated, but Central Coast News is told the stabbing did not occur inside any business.

Monterey police are not releasing any information on the suspect and have not announced any arrests. Officers also told Central Coast News there is “no danger to the public.”
