Watsonville Man Shot and Wounded, Police Search for Culprits

Police are searching for three assailants who shot and wounded a man as he walked down and alley Wednesday night.

It happened on the 100 block of Riverside Drive. According to investigators, the shooters pulled up in a vehicle and asked the victim if he was a gang member before firing a single shot.

The victim was hit in the leg. Police say a friend drove the victim to Watsonville Community Hospital. He is now recovering from non-life-threatening injuries.

The attackers drove away in a brown 4-door Honda Accord.
