Thief steals Watsonville woman’s wallet with only photos of deceased son

The Watsonville Police Department needs the publics help identifying a man they say not only stole a woman’s wallet, but also the last memories she had of her son.

The wallet had pictures of the victims 12-year-old son who lost his battle with cancer.

Detectives found surveillance footage from a local bank ATM machine showing the suspect in a bright safety vest and a hat that appeared to have a Coca-Cola logo.

“The suspect also has a tattoo that possibly reads ‘Daisy,” said Watsonville PD spokeswoman Michelle Pulido.

WPD believes the suspect drives a small white pickup truck.

The woman told police she doesn’t care about the hundreds of dollars the suspect withdrew from her bank account, she just wants the photos of her son.

If you recognize the man in the surveillance photo call Detective Juan Sanchez at 831-768-3358.
