Suspect armed with knives arrested in Santa Cruz

A man armed with knives was frightening people in downtown Santa Cruz Wednesday.

According to Santa Cruz Police, 27-year-old Milton Miller was carrying a large knife when a park ranger asked him to put it away. Miller did not listen to the ranger and continued walking.

SCPD officers found Miller in a downtown parking lot where he refused to comply. An officer deployed his taser and officers were able to arrest Miller.

Miller was arrested for outstanding warrants, carrying a concealed dagger, resisting arrest, and assault with a deadly weapon on a peace officer.
