Bomb threat at North Monterey County High

A bomb threat has been reported at a high school in Castroville.

According to the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office, someone called in a bomb threat towards North Monterey County High School sometime before 2 p.m. Wednesday.

The threat marks the 2nd one made towards the high school in ten days. On August 14, the school was put on lockdown after someone called in shooting threats towards the campus.

Deputies were on scene and told KION they did not find anything suspicious.

The school responded with a shelter in place, and cleared the area. According to North County’s school website, the campus resumed classes as planned.
