Hollister DUI crash suspect arrested

A man was arrested for a DUI crash in Hollister that hurt four people, including two kids.

Hollister police say they arrested 27 year old Juan Carlos Marmolejo for driving under the influence. The crash happened on August 19, just before 11 at night, at the intersection of Hwy. 25 and Hillcrest Road. Police say Marmolejo ran a red light and broadsided another car with two children inside. They were both hurt, along with two adults in Marmolejo’s car. All the victims, including Marmolejo, were flown to a bay area hospital. Marmolejo was arrested yesterday when he was released.

Hollister police are reminding people that drunk driving is a serious crime. They say this crash was completely avoidable.
