Police investigate shooting of three people in Marina

Police officers from California State University of Monterey Bay said they responded to a shooting in the area of Abrams Park in Marina about 1 a.m. on Sunday.

Marina police officers then went to the area and found a large party taking place on Carpenter Court.

Three men had been shot, officers said.

Two of the victims received non-life-threatening injuries but the other needed surgery and his condition is still unknown.

Marina officers said the shooting is being investigated as gang related.
