Salinas teen to compete in US Cycling Mountain Bike National Championship

A Salinas teen recently won the NorCal State Championship for cycling and will now compete in the US Cycling Mountain Bike National Championship.

16-year-old Palma High student, Matthew Saldaña, won the title in the Junior Division of the High School NorCal Cycling league in Petaluma in May.

Saldaña will travel to West Virginia in July to compete against some of the best mountain bikers from across the nation.
