Traffic delays expected on Highway 17 due to emergency road work

Caltrans crews will be working on Highway 17 next week and officials are warning drivers about long delays in the area.

Crews will perform emergency grinding and paving operations starting on Monday, June 12th.

They will be working on the Southbound No. 2 lane of the highway from Summit Road to Vinehill. That area will be closed from 7:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. from the 12th to the 15th.

Sims Road to Pasatiempo will then be closed on Friday June 16th.

This is work being done to fix roadways damaged by winter storms. Drivers can expect delays up to the 30 minutes.
