According to police, a masked man ran into the US Bank on Morrissey Boulevard Friday afternoon and demanded cash.

The suspect jumped over the counter, pointed a handgun at the employees and threatened them to open the cash drawers.

The man then took an undisclosed amount of money out of the drawers and put it into a black cloth bag. He jumped back over the counter and took off. No one was hurt.

Police said the suspect was last seen running east for one block before driving away in an unknown vehicle.

The suspect is described as a man in his late 20’s. He is 5’08” to 5’10” with a medium build and was wearing a black hoodie, brown beanie with a black stripe and blue or black pants. He was also wearing black sunglasses, dirty white shoes and gloves.

Anyone with information is being asked to call the Santa Cruz Police Department.
