Smash and grab at The Boardroom

A bold smash and grab burglary at Santa Cruz Boardroom on 41st Avenue in Santa Cruz destroyed a giant plate glass window.

Owner Terry Campion said it happened around 5am on Sunday. The thief (or thieves) made off with some clothing.

Campion said he was alerted by the store alarm going off and arrived to discover about 200 pounds of shattered glass.

The Boardroom is a popular retail shop on busy 41st Avenue. It also has a museum of rare skateboards and art.
