What you need to know about upcoming delays and closures around Highway 101

Drivers should prepare for delays today and tomorrow on northbound Highway 101-Blackie Road to Tustin Road.

According to Caltrans the left lane will be closed for drainage work from 9 am to 2 pm on both days. Crews will be cleaning out old vegetation.

“It would involve clearing culverts or drainage facilities to make sure water goes where it’s supposed to go, and not on throadways or areas that might be prone to flooding,” said Caltrans District 5 Public Information Officer Jim Shivers.

On Thursday the northbound Laurel Drive on-ramp will be closed and on Friday the southbound on-ramp. Caltrans wants to remind motorists of the law to move over and slow down when driving through highway work zones.
