New restaurants coming to Marina

Three new food establishments are expected to open at the Marina Dunes shopping center by mid-November, according to developer Scott Negri from SKN properties. Starbucks, Teriyaki Madness and Smash Burger will open just in time for the start of the 2016 holiday shopping season.

Five to six more food establishments will open a few weeks later. Those include Chipotle, Deli Delicious and Blaze Pizza.

The development took more than a year of planning. Back in April, Negri told KION that the project is expected to bring in $350,000 annually in tax revenue as well as add to the Dunes’ shopping experience. At this point, Negri said construction is about 90 to 95 percent done.
