One shot in Brutus St. shooting in Salinas, police say

UPDATE 10/4/16 12:09 PM: Salinas police said a 25-year-old man was shot multiple times at about 9:15 a.m. Tuesday.

Officers said he was taken to the hospital and is listed in critical condition.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man, wearing a black sweatshirt and grey sweatpants, last seen running north on Brutus St.

Police said they do not know the motive for the shooting but the victim does have gang affiliation in the Bay Area.

PREVIOUS STORY: Salinas police are investigating a shooting on Brutus St. Tuesday morning. Officers said one person was shot and taken to the hospital.
