Brush fire ignites, prompting evacuations in Morgan Hill

UPDATE 9/1/2016 5:42 PM: The fire in Morgan Hill Thursday afternoon is still 25 and is now 40 percent contained, according to Cal Fire.

UPDATE 9/1/2016 4:38 PM: Cal Fire reports the Oak Fire is now 25 acres and is still 30 percent contained.

UPDATE 9/1/2016 3:34 PM: Cal Fire said a brush fire in Morgan Hill is 30 percent contained and is holding at 20 acres.

PREVIOUS STORY: A 20 acre fire is burning in Morgan Hill near Oak Glen Ave. and Llagas Rd. Thursday afternoon, according to Cal Fire.

So far crews said one structure is threatened and some evacuations have been ordered near Rolling Hills and Rocky Ridge.

Two aircraft were initially called in, but released a short time later, indicating firefighters are getting a handle on the flames.
