Monterey County man arrested on drug charges in Santa Cruz incident

A Monterey County man was arrested on drug charges in Santa Cruz County after deputies searched two homes Wednesday.

Wednesday morning, deputies said Royce Fuller, 53, was stopped for speeding on Mission Street in Santa Cruz. They said about 12 ounces of methamphetamine and more than $3,200 cash were found inside his truck.

The Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office said investigators later searched two homes. They said 18.3 ounces of methamphetamine, more than $16,000 cash and 11 guns were found inside a San Jose home and more than $4,000 cash were found inside Fuller’s Monterey County home.

Fuller, 53, was arrested and booked into the Santa Cruz County Jail. Tim Crooks, 48, of San Jose, was also arrested and taken to Santa Clara County Jail.
