Salinas police investigate 19th homicide this year
Salinas police are investigating the city’s 19th homicide this year after a man was shot and killed early Monday morning.
Officers said Manuel Hoyos, 28, was found in his car near Iris Dr. and Tyler St. around 1:15 a.m. with a gunshot. He got medical help but police said Hoyos died at the scene.
No witnesses were available and no information about any suspects was gathered at the scene, police said.
