Bizzare car-on-car accident in Watsonville

In 25 years as a used car salesman, Rogelio Gimenez has seen his share of accidents. But today’s three-car pile up may be the most bizarre.

Friday morning, a car crashed into two parked cars and came to rest on top of them at the corner of Auto Center Drive and Marin Street.

Watsonville police report that two people were injured. There was no immediate word on their conditions.

Gimenez says drivers often drive too fast on the curving road. “The curve is pretty sharp and you have to pay attention right there,” he said. “Another distraction are the cars that come from the school. They try to cross and they cause an accident.”

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
