Hollister teens overdose on marijuana-laced cookie

Two teens ate a marijuana-laced cookie and went to the hospital on Friday, police said.

Hollister police said a 14-year-old and a 15-year-old were having a hard time breathing and felt sick. Both admitted to buying a cookie from another teen.

Officers said the 16-year-old cookie seller was arrested and taken to the San Benito County Juvenile Hall.

The Hollister Police Department is encouraging parents to talk with their kids about the dangers of marijuana edibles.
