Watsonville infant treated for shaken baby syndrome, babysitter arrested

A Watsonville babysitter is arrested after an infant under her care was found with shaken baby syndrome, according to Watsonville Police Department.

Police said a child abuse investigation in June found the infant suffering from severe head injuries.

Teresa Delgadillo, 68, was arrested and officers said evidence of physical abuse was discovered while the baby was in her care.

Delagdillo is being held on $100,000 bail. Investigators are looking into potential violations for providing child care without a license.
