Mother speaks out about missing 2-year-old son with asthma

The mother of 2-year-old Jacob Vargas spoke to KION about her missing son Thursday afternoon near the Soledad Police Department. The California Highway Patrol issued an Amber Alert for Jacob after a carjacking in Soledad.

“Where’s my son, where’s my son,” Anastacia Araujo. “Is he crying, is he hurt, is he still alive?”

She said Jacob has asthma and he needs his medication.

In a message to whoever is behind this, she asked that Jacob be dropped off somewhere safe.
