16-year-old shot multiple times on Estrella Way

Salinas Police said a 16-year-old was shot on Estrella Avenue Monday afternoon.

Police said they responded to the area just after 3 p.m. on a ‘shots fired’ report. When they arrived, police said they found the 16-year-old suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The teen was taken to Natividad Medical Center. Police said it appears that his injuries are not life-threatening.
