Salinas man shot while walking with his bike at Sieber and Orchard

An investigation is underway after a Salinas man was shot while walking with his bike.

It happened Sunday night, just before 10:30 p.m. on Sieber Street at Orchard Avenue.

Police say the 20-year-old man was shot by an an unknown suspect. The victim is expected to survive.

911 callers reported seeing a Hispanic man in dark clothing, possibly a dark gray Pendleton with blue jeans. He was last seen running eastbound on Sieber.
