Man stabbed in Salinas while walking down street

Salinas Police are searching for the suspect responsible for stabbing a young man Tuesday morning.

It happened just after midnight at Casentini and Rico Streets. According to police, the victim was walking down the street when a man came up behind him and stabbed him in the back with a knife.

The male suspect did demand money, however the victim was able to fight back by knocking him to the ground. The victim suffered a minor stab wound and cut on his hand.
