Aptos Prowler arrested

UPDATE 4/1/2016 11:35 AM: Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s deputies say they’ve arrested the so-called Aptos Prowler. Deputies credited the department’s Facebook followers in helping to identify the suspect. The suspect, whose identity is not yet released, was booked into the County Jail.

ORIGINAL STORY: The Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help finding a prowler in Aptos.

The Sheriff’s Office said over the past few months, several residents have captured surveillance video of the man prowling around their yards.

He has tattoos on both hands and knuckles, but the Sheriff’s Office is having a hard time identifying the man.
