San Jose family safe after getting lost on a hike, and spending the night in a hollow tree

A San Jose family got last on a hike and had to spend the night in a hollow tree.

They got lost on Saturday while exploring Big Basin State Park.

The Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office found them the next day, cold and wet.

Thankfully there was a good outcome. The family even warmed up at theState Parks Nature Log before heading home.
