Police: Gang-related shooting leaves man injured in Salinas

Salinas Police is investigating a gang-related shooting Monday night.

A 35-year-old man was standing near a fire station on West Bolivar street near North Main Street just before 8 p.m. when a a tan SUV pulled up. Police said several shots were fired, one of the bullets struck the victim in his upper leg. His wound was not life-threatening.

Police said the victim was not cooperative with officers.

There is no suspect information at this time.

The shooting is being investigated as gang-related, officers said.
