Greenfield Police investigate shooting early Tuesday morning

Greenfield Police are investigating a shooting after the victim reportedly showed up at Natividad Medical Center in Salinas with non-life threatening injuries.

Police said the shooting originally happened in the 400 block of 3rd St. in Greenfield and a 38-year-old man had been hit. The man was treated for his injuries and released the same day, according to police.

Officers said they are still trying to determine if the shooting was gang related. They are working on several leads but don’t have anything concrete as of right now.
