Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk a ‘top destination’ according to Forbes

Forbes Magazine recently said the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is the number two tourist spot for Memorial Day weekend for the past three years. Catalina Island came in first on the list.

The historic Boardwalk is set alongside the beach and has attractions and countless games to enjoy.

“It really is one of the best beaches in the entire world there is nothing else quite like it. Where you have calm quiet water, warm sand and an amazing seaside amusement park all in one. It’s a really special place,” Boardwalk spokesperson Kris Reyes said.

The Boardwalk is equipped with 2,000 parking spaces for its guests and on busy holidays, like Memorial Day, the lots fill up quickly.

Another reason to come back this summer is for the free Friday night beach concerts starting June 19.

The Boardwalk said it’s always busy this time of year, as it’s the unofficial kickoff to summer. The park will be open all week long up until Labor Day.
