Sexual molestation arrest in Marina involving 15 and 9 year old girls

Two sexual molestations of a 15 and 9 year old girl have led to the arrest of a Marina resident.

41 year old Manuel Jesus Jimenez was arrested after an extensive investigation. Marina Police say Jimenez was a well known acquaintance of the family. Police say the assaults to one of the girls started in 2013 and to the second girl in 2014.

Jimenez has been booked into the Monterey County Jail on charges of lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14, forcible lewd acts upon a child, and oral copulation/sexual penetration of a child.

Police say because of the nature of the crimes against children his bail was increased from $1.5 million to $3.5 million.
