Man gets away with cash after robbing a Salinas taqueria, police said

A man who robbed the Jaliscience Taqueria with a handgun Sunday morning is still out there, Salinas police said.

Just after 9 a.m., a 5-foot-7, 180-pound Hispanic man wearing a black-hooded jacket and blue jeans threatened an employee with a chrome-colored handgun, police said.

After taking an unknown amount of cash he ran away westbound on East Alisal Street toward Prader Street, police added.

The Salinas Police Department did not mention any injuries.

The taqueria is located at 301 East Alisal St.
