Robbers hit Rabobank on North Davis Road in Salinas, police said

UPDATE: 4:32 p.m.

The Salinas Police Department, along with the FBI, is investigating an armed bank robbery Saturday, police said. Three suspects are on the loose.

Two suspects each carried guns into the Rabobank on North Davis Road, police said. One of them was armed with a black revolver and was wearing white gloves. The other had a semi-automatic pistol, police said. The third suspect waited in the parking lot with the getaway car, which police later determined was reported stolen.

Several witnesses described the suspect vehicle and a Salinas police officer found it unoccupied off of Westridge Parkway.

Suspect No. 1, with the white gloves, is described as a 6-foot Hispanic man wearing a black sweatshirt and black sweatpants, police said.

Suspect No. 2, with the pistol, is described as a 5 foot-8-inch Hispanic or white man wearing black pants and a black jacket, police said.

Suspect No. 3 did not have a description listed, according to the news release.

An unknown amount of money was taken and no one inside the bank was injured, police added.

PREVIOUS STORY: Rabobank in Salinas will be closed for several hours after a robbery took place Saturday morning, according to the Salinas Police Department.

It happened after 10 a.m. on North Davis Road. At one point police blocked all cars from entering the shopping center parking lot.

Police are looking for several suspects and are interviewing several witnesses, police said.
