UPDATE: Watsonville HS lockdown lifted after police investigation

PREVIOUS STORY: Watsonville police said they responded to a fight and report of a man with a gun on Bockius Street, near Watsonville High School.

The school is being placed on lockdown as a precaution.

Officers said the incident turned into a short foot pursuit but the man is now in custody.

It is unknown if the gun was recovered.
