PRVNT investigators make drug arrest in Soledad

Drug agents with the Peninsula Regional Violence and Narcotics Team said a bust was made Tuesday afternoon in the 1300 block of Monterey Street in Soledad.

Investigators said Oscar Barrera, 27, was arrested during a search where heroin, meth, cash, a loaded firearm and evidence of drug sales were found.

They said Barrera was arrested and charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm, felon in possession of ammunition, possession of heroin and meth for sales and child endangerment.

Investigators said Barrera is suspected of supplying the Monterey Peninsula region with drugs.
