King City police search for suspect in Friday’s drive-by shooting

The King City Police Department said it’s investigating a drive-by shooting that happened Friday afternoon.

At 4:07 p.m. police said officers responded to reports of shots fired into a vehicle on the intersection of south Mildred Avenue and Division Street.

Police said the victim inside the vehicle was not injured.

The suspect fled northbound on Highway 101, police said. A King City resident followed the suspect vehicle but lost sight of it after it entered Greenfield, police said.

Later, that vehicle was found parked back in King City, police said.
